The EMCON Combined Temperature / Relative Humidity Sensor is designed for
scientific and environmental observations where reliable measurement,
accuracy, and long-term stability are essential. The instrument combines
air temperature and relative humidity measurement in a compact sensor
assembly.
The air temperature sensing element uses a Pt.1000 type sensor. Multiple
selectable temperature ranges are available to meet different monitoring
requirements.
Relative humidity is measured using a capacitance-based sensing element.
The sensor provides measurement from 0 to 100% relative humidity with a
corresponding linear voltage output.
The sensor supports selectable air temperature ranges of 0 to 60 °C,
-20 to 60 °C, and -20 to 80 °C. The specified accuracy for these ranges
is ±0.2 °C.
Long cable connections can be used for remote measurements and centralized
measurements without loss in signal, making the sensor suitable for
distributed environmental monitoring systems.
A weather protective shade is provided for protecting the sensor from rain,
dust, and sunlight while maintaining easy movement of air around the
sensing elements. The documented design consists of three plates and is
made from ABS plastic or high-grade Nylon.
The sensor is designed for extended operation in hostile weather
conditions without maintenance. Its low power consumption and stable
sensing characteristics make it suitable for long-term environmental
monitoring installations.
